Mini Album Baby girl

Well here I am at last, it has been a while since I posted and as it has been pouring
down with rain I thought I would get round to posting my mini album.

This is only the second one I have made so it is still new to me.
The album measures 8" x 6" x 3 and a half "

The album cover paper is from some old stock I had and I have used lace and dies
from china and flowers and corners from "Wild Orchid crafts"

This page is the inside cover of the album

The dies used are from "Spellbinders"
and I have decorated the pockets using pearl string from China which
costs £8.50 for 50 meters ( Bargain )

It opens up to reveal pockets on either side and a large pocket to
hold tags etc

I have decorated the page with flower dies from China

Page one outer flaps made using "Sue Wilson Noble Squares Dies"
to make two picture frames

It opens up to reveal another pocket holding a chart and two small envelopes.
"Sue Wilson Gemini dies" are used again to make the pretty border and I have added lace

Page two is made again using the gorgeous pearl string and "Poppy stamps Stitched triple blooms"
I have added ribbon using "Brother P-Touch embelish machine" to print the wording.

It opens up to reveal another pocket holding a chart for Baby's progress
and it closes using a velcro dot

Pages three and four are both the same, I have made a waterfall for photographs
there is space for 10 photos on each page

They are secured in place using a lace frill secured by a velcro dot

Page five I have made two pockets for left hand side of the page

I have made two envelopes to hold little keepsakes

Both of the pockets have cards which can either hold photographs or
updated information on baby's progress

Page six I have made to look like a large envelope

I have decorated it with lace and flowers from Ali Express China

It opens up to reveal a pocket with Baby's first steps chart and tags

Thin inside of the back cover has two envelopes, one for Baby's first lock of hair
and the other one is for the Baby's hospital wristband, the giraffe die is from China

I have made a large pocket to hold six cards, each side has space for a photograph
and progress information for baby month by month for a year

As always thank you very much for looking and any comments you are kind enough
to leave are always hugely appreciated

It's a girl

Afternoon all
Well it's not a very nice day today so I am in my craft room again.
Hubby gave me permission to buy myself a Gemini machine as my eBosser
wasn't embossing very well so I wanted to try this gorgeous little
die to see how well it would emboss and I am so happy with the result.

My base card is approx 7" x 7" and I have layered it with
white linen card and Pink baby feet 1 card available from
"Limetree craft"

The giraffe die is one from China and you can buy it from
www.aliexpress.com I think it cost me about £1.70, I used
"Gathered twigs Distress ink" before I removed the die
The lace is also available from AE and I got 14yards for £7.50
It's a girl die is from "Sue Wilson Creative Expressions"

I added a bow and flat back gem also from AE.

Thank you for looking in and any comments you are kind enough to
leave as always are greatly appreciated.

Baby keepsake

Afternoon all.

Another lovely day for us here in Leicester, it's warm and the sun has been shining
so what am I doing in my craft room? I ask myself that sometimes
but I just love making all these lovely keepsakes, so here is another one
I made, this time I have made it with the hood up.

I have made this the same as before from the "Arty Farty" template.
I used white hammer card and double sided centura pearl card, the handle is made
from a plastic drinking straw.

I have added peel offs to make it look prettier and the lace is a must.

Added some ribbon, put some netting inside the pram and that's it!

As always thank you for looking in and any comments you are kind enough
to leave are always hugely appreciated.

Baby's 1st birthday

Afternoon all.

Well it's a beautiful day today & we have had sun for most of it, that is a
rare sight these days.
My gorgeous little great nephew will be one year old on Friday so i am
sharing the card I made for him.

The base card is approx 7" x 7"

I have layered the card using Blue Centura pearl and white linen card
The train die I have used is from "Marianne design"
I have used gorgeous white lace from "Arty Farty" to edge my
center piece of card.
The ribbon has been printed using my new
"Brother P-touch Embellish" and i have added
some pearls for decoration.

Thank you for looking in and any comments
you are kind enough to leave are always very much appreciated.

Twin baby keepsake

Hello everyone
Well I was thinking the other day what can I make then I had a bright idea,
what about a pram keepsake for the expectant mother of twins.
Good idea except it took a while to make it with all the fiddly bits but I think it was
worth it in the end.

I made this using a template from "ArtyFarty Designs"
they are very easy to use and there are written  instructions as
well as step by step pictures.

I decorated the hood with some lace and also the pram
centre apron.

I bought some lovely material from "The Range"
and placed it inside the pram

There are step by step instructions for making the box as well.

I had to finish it off with my favourite Dies
"Poppystamps triple stitched bloom"

Thank you for taking the time to look at my blog and any
comments you are kind enough to leave are as always greatly appreciated.

Baby Boy Keepsake

Evening all.

After I posted my Baby girl keepsake my friend saw it and asked
me to make one for her niece who is expecting a boy, so here I am sharing it with you.

I used the template from 'Artyfartydesigns' the same as my last post, the only thing
I changed was the card. Instead of using papers I used card from Lime Tree and I also
made a pillow for this one, I have applied loads of bling to it and added some
'Poppy stamps Triple stitched blossom trio'

I also made a pillow for this one, I downloaded a template
from Pintrest and added a bit of lace round the edges

Plenty of bling

The cot end pieces look effective with the
die cuts I have added

Thank you for looking in and all your comments are
always very much appreciated

Baby girl keepsake

Afternoon all.

Well I thought I would try my hand at making a little cot keepsake, it would make
a lovely gift for any new mum.

To make this I bought a template from "Arty Farty Designs" and was surprised at
how easy it was to make! You get written instructions as well as step by step photo's. The template
pattern is for "Cherub 2 cot & box"

To make it you need the following
Cot panels - 2 X A4 card
Strips - 4mm craft straws or 18 strips of card 5mm wide, I chose the card option
Mattress - 1 X A5 patterned paper
Inside/Outside panels - 1 X A4 patterned paper/card
Quilt - 1 X A5 patterned paper/card
Box - 3 X A4 and 1 X A5 card
Box Acetate - 1 X A4
Embellishments, Ribbon and Tags

I made mine using white double sided Centura pearl card and papers
from First Edition "Its a girl"

Thank you for stopping by and any comments you are kind enough
to leave are always hugely appreciated xx Janis xx

Baby boy frame

Afternoon all.
Sorry not been posting lately but I have been very busy.
I have just finished a photo frame i made for our nephew and his partner.
I got the inspiration for this frame from Janice Oakes who has her own blog
paperpetalsandcardcraft.blogspot.co.uk

I bought a 6 x 6 inch frame from Wilko's and used
White Linen card as my background and cut it using "Sue Wilson's noble pierced squares"
I then layered it with "Nana's nursery " paper
My flowers are cut using "Poppystamps Stitched blossom trio"
I made the baby using a mould i purchesed from eBay and used "Fimo clay"
I then cut a cotton pad for the nappy.
